Meet the Instructors

Rosemary DeMott

RosemaryOwner and Director Rosemary DeMott has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dance from Jacksonville University. She has performed as a singer, dancer, and actress for various theaters around the United States.She has performed in such shows as A, My Name is Alice, My Fair Lady, My One and Only and 42nd Street.

She has taught for many different dance companies and schools and is currently teaching at Valencia Community College in the Dance department and is excited to pass on her knowledge and experience to her students.Rosemary is proud to be involved with the Moonlight Players Theater. She has choreographed such shows for them as Chicago, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Lil Abner, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and continues to work them on future projects.

Rosemary is currently the 2nd Vice President and certified member of the Florida Dance Masters Inc. and currently serves as the Committee Liaison for the dance organization Unity.

Jakki Kenney

clip_image002Jakki is not only an old student of Rosemary’s, but she grew up in Florida and has been dancing since she was three years old at Raskin Dance Studios. She has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, along with several other types of dance. While at Raskins, she was involved in their Company and Competition Team.

The Raskin Dance Company consisted of local performances for the community and while on the competition team had the opportunity to win several scholarships to gain her studies with some of the top choreographers in our time of dance. While at Raskins she also had the opportunity to begin teaching this lovely art at the age of 15.

Before graduating High School Jakki was flown to Los Angelos to do a photo shoot with a top photographer for her title as Dancer Of the Year for Urban Jamm Dance Convention. After graduating high school she moved to New York City and entered the Professional Dance Program at Broadway Dance Center ran by Wes Veldink to continue her studies. Jakki has danced for Aaron Carter, was in a movie with Tom Seleck, and has assisted a number of dance teachers at conventions including Jeff Amsden who teaches for Tremaine Dance Convention.

Danielle Peronto

imageDanielle Peronto comes to us from Madison, WI. At the age of four, she began dance lessons and found the love of performing. She left Madison at age 18 to sing and dance on Disney Cruise Line and now performs regularly as a singer/dancer at Universal Studios in Beetlejuice’s Rockin’ Graveyard Revue.

You can also find Danielle singing on stage at Rising Star at Universal Studio’s City Walk. She also performs in an acoustic duo, singing top 40’s rock in a variety of different venues.

Amanda Mendoza

imageAmanda has been dancing at Not Just Dance since 2006, training in ballet and contemporary. She started her training in high school with hip hop, jazz, and ballet. She has also studied a semester of ballroom dance in college and trained in salsa for one year at Salsa Heat in Orlando.

Amanda has been attending Florida Dance Master’s Annual Thanksgiving Weekend Convention since 2007, taking classes and learning various styles of dance. She has choreographed routines for community events, church services, and other productions including baccalaureates, Christmas and Easter productions, and fundraisers.

Amanda also leads David’s Heart, a dance ministry at the Church at South Lake in which dancers train and perform lyrical style dance.
